Magic Bands are specific to Walt Disney World and stated officially in 2013. My family and I first got to try them during one of our stays at a deluxe resort. They were included in your stay until 2021. When the program was first being launched report quests would receive the package with an Incredibles logo flash drive along with magic bands for each guest. The flash drive had instructions on how to use and setup the magic band.

There were only 6 colors in the beginning, which were

- Blue

- Orange

- Green

- Red

- Pink

- Yellow

You were able to add names but everything needed to be customized at least 2 weeks before your trip. If you did not do in time or had a spur of the moment trip then you would be issued a grey band. There were some cases and hotels that did offer a color option at times.

Second Generation

The next generation is the classic look everyone has now in 2022, and now the rides had new photo systems where the photos automatically linked to your magic band. There were update to the band designs and some bands now reacted to several rides, such as the haunted mansion or pandora. They even did different colors when you scanned into the fastpass now lighting lane for the ride.

Plus Generation

Now we wait for the release of the Magicband+ the 3^rd generation of Walt Disney world bands and first time coming to Disneyland! Some new things to expect are:

1. More interactive with Galaxy’s Edge Land’s

2. Disney Fab 50 Character Collection interactions at Walt Disney World

3. Magic bands will light up to the EPCOT “Harmonious” and Magic

Kingdom “Enchantment” show(s)

2. link it to the account under magic bands

3. if it gives you trouble att te gate just make sure to have a copy of the purchase and they can help at the ticket stands
